Dr. Ioanna Anastasiadou graduated in dental surgery from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2007. In October 2008 she moved to the UK working as a general dental surgeon..

In 2019 she was accepted in the 3-year Periodontology course in the world-renowned Queen Mary University of London and completed the speciality course training in Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) at the Royal London Hospital, including the implantology module.

Ioanna joined The Implant Experts in 2023 and is offering speciality treatment for referred periodontal cases privately. The range of treatment she provides is for non-surgical and surgical periodontal cases, bone and soft tissue regeneration, aesthetic cases, dental implants, and peri-implant condition.

She welcomes referrals for all aspects of periodontal case modalities, including: diagnosis and treatment of periodontitis and periodontitis associated with systemic conditions; presence of localised problems following non-surgical periodontal treatment, such as non-responsive periodontal defects, furcation involvement or endo-perio lesions, where access surgery, resective surgery, or regenerative procedures (membranes and/or bone grafts and/or enamel matrix proteins) may be indicated; presence of recession defects or mucogingival deformities which would benefit from periodontal plastic surgery procedures for soft tissue management, e.g. root coverage, increase of keratinised tissues; aesthetic crown lengthening; and surgical procedures for dental implants placement
